Linda Lopez - State Representative

Linda Lopez
Arizona State Representative
District 29

Linda Lopez, serving as State Representative since 2001, has been a strong and vocal advocate for children, families, and education for many years. She is the mother of three grown children, grandmother of two, and over time has been foster mother of 44 abused and neglected children.

She has been employed by La Frontera Center for the past 15 years where she was clinical supervisor of the Child/Family Center, providing therapeutic programs for children (birth to eighteen) and their families. She is currently Community Relations Coordinator for the agency.

Linda Lopez is a member of the Sunnyside School Board and has so served for a cumulative total of 18 years. During her tenure she has been instrumental in implementing full day kindergarten, early childhood programs, and the Hands Across the Border exchange program.

In the legislature in 2005 she has been promoted to Assistant Minority Leader and is a member of the Appropriations, Health, and Rules Committees.

In 2003 she was appointed by Governor Napolitano to the Governor's Committee on Reforming Child Protective Services.

Linda Lopez has fought hard during her tenure to support investments in education, children, and families — investments that insure a bright future for Arizona.
